Job Description

Julimos, a leading technology staffing company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our clients’ databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This position requires strong technical expertise in database administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of database management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet the needs of our client’s applications.
  • Install and configure database software and ensure compatibility with existing systems and applications.
  • Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and optimizing query performance.
  • Perform database backups, recovery, and restoration activities, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch installations, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, investigating root causes, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices, and provide recommendations for improving database performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of database management systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in database design, implementation, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with database security and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
