Job Description

Julimos, a leading technology Staffing company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to cloud environments. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud technologies,

migration methodologies, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their migration requirements, assess their existing infrastructure, and develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud migration architectures, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assess application dependencies, performance requirements, and security considerations to determine each application’s best migration approach (lift-and-shift, re-platform, or re-architect).
  • Execute cloud migration activities, including data migration, application deployment, network configuration, and infrastructure setup, leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated applications and infrastructure to ensure successful migration and adherence to performance and security standards.
  • Develop and maintain migration runbooks, technical documentation, and best practices to streamline future migration projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize cloud resources during and after migration.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing best practices and knowledge transfer to enhance the team’s expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud migration tools, methodologies, and trends, and provide recommendations for enhancing migration capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud migration, infrastructure deployment, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience executing cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with migration tools and technologies, such as AWS Database Migration Service, Azure Migrate, or CloudEndure.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, routing, and VPN connectivity.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and technologies, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple migration projects simultaneously and deliver within defined timelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
